Dellos Hector Predmore – 1831 – 1913

2nd Great Grandfather of Chris Diskin, Irish Brigade Camp #4

Enlisted December 21, 1863.  He was 32, a farmer, married with four children, and living in Lodi, New York.  Enlisted a private for 3 years at Covert, New York in Company I, 111th  New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 3rd Division, 2nd Corps, Army of the Potomac.  Delos was wounded in action during The Battle of Wilderness in Virginia and then transferred to Co. G, Fourth Artillery, June 4, 1865. He participated in the following campaigns:

May 6, 1864, at The Wilderness, Va. – wounded in action, returned to active duty November 1864.

December 9 –10, 1864 reconnaissance to Hatcher's Run

February 5 – 7, 1865 Dabney's Mills, Hatcher's Run

March 25 1865 at Watkins' House

March 28 – April 9, 1865 Appomattox Campaign

March 29 – 30, 1865 on line of Hatcher's and Gravelly Runs

March 31, 1865 at Hatcher's Run or Boydton Road and White Oak Road

April 2, 1865 Sutherland Station and fall of Petersburg

April 3 – 9, 1965 pursuit of Lee

April 6, 1865 Sailor's Creek

April 7, 1865 High Bridge and Farmville

April 9; 1865 Appomattox Court House and Surrender of Lee and his army.

April 1865 at Burkesville

May 2 –12, 1865 moved to Washington, D.C.

May 23, 1865 Grand Review

June 3, 1865 111th Ny Vol Inf Reg mustered out under Lieutenant Colonel Lewis W. Husk. Veterans and recruits transferred to Company G, 4th New York Heavy Artillery.

September 26, 1865 – 4th New York Heavy Artillery mustered out

December 1866 - Awarded $4 monthly pension for wounds to left hand during Battle of the Wilderness, VA

12 Aug 1862 Enlisted in Company A, Michigan 22 Infantry Regiment

14 January 1863 died of disease (typhoid) in Lexington, Ky.

25 August 1864 – enlisted as Private in Company U, New York 71st Infantry

9 October 1864 – Mustered into Company F, New York 120th Infantry Regiment

25 March 1865 – Killed in Action, Battle of Watkins House, Hatcher’s Run, VA

6 July 1865 died of disease typhoid at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas
